The fourth conference "Mesoscopic structures Fundamentals and Applications" is being organized by Novosibirsk State Technical University. Among the participants of the conference we expect to see well known Russian scientists, as well as our compatriots working in foreign universities and leading research centers in the field of theory and experiment in a number of rapidly growing areas of condensed matter physics. The main objective of the conference is to exchange ideas and experience, a detailed discussion of the achievements of the past 2-3 years, and the involvement into these discussions the young scientists and specialists from Russia. More than half of the reports will be presented by invited speakers from leading universities. We also expect to invite as participants a limited number of promising Russian undergraduate and graduate students.

The abstracts and articles will be published in the conference proceedings prior the conference.

The preferred working language of the conference is English, but it will be also allowed to make the reports and presentations in Russian.

The scope of the conference:

  • Nanomechanics (nanomechanical and nanoeletromechanical devices)
  • Mesoscopic nanostructures (metallic, semiconductors, superconductors) and their properties
  • Technology of mesoscopic nanostructures
  • Artificial (macroscopic) quantum systems
  • Detectors and devices based on mesoscopic structures
  • Josephson effect and its applications
  • Quantum metrology and quantum computing

The conference will take place from 5-9 July 2017 in the Baikal Hotel which is located on the picturesque shore of lake Baikal near the source of Angara river, at the height of bird's flight, 65 km from Irkutsk.
